It offers a general purpose design suitable for a wide range of applications. This FMC board provides a platform for exhibiting how multiple AD9361 devices can be connected and synchronised. The AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ board has two of the AD9361 ICs. The AD9361 is a high performance, highly integrated RF agile transceiver intended for use in RF applications, such as 3G and 4G base station applications and software defined radios. As a high speed analogue module, the AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ FMC offers programmability and a wideband capability, making it ideal for a broad range of transceiver applications. It combines an RF front end with a flexible mixed-signal baseband section and integrated frequency synthesizers. This allows the AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ to simplify design-in by providing a configurable digital interface to a processor or FPGA.Note that the AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ uses a dual FMC connector. This means the base board requires two adjacent FMC connectors.
