This is a sight that no-one will forget in a hurry. The Trooper continues the line of cases with high recognition value and the latest technology. The entire construction appears very solid and extremely robust. However, the exterior is not an end in itself, but is mainly the result of innumerable well thought-out details. The CM Storm Trooper is an excellent combination of style and performance. The integrated docking station for ultra-fast data transfer with hot-swap function will amaze you time and again. Controls are clearly arranged on the front of the cover.The interior is very large and equipped with many extras. Nine external 5.25 inch drives can be installed and six slots can alternatively be used for internal 3.5 inch drives. 3.5 inch HDDs and SSDs modules are located on separate supports and can be rotated by 90 degrees. It can also hold up to nine (!) 120 mm fans for additional cooling. It comes with one 140-mm fan, two 120 mm fans and one 200-mm fan to produce the airflow you need.This extreme ventilation is without any doubt one of the Trooper's distinguishing features. Two 120 mm front fans provide fresh air. These fans are fitted with red LEDs that can be deactivated is required using a button on the front of the case. It also includes a 200mm fan in the lid as well as a 140mm fan at the back. Moreover, the 17 to 23 dB(A) fans are pleasantly quiet.The installed 200 mm fan can alternatively be replaced by two smaller fans. This is not usually really necessary but provides the option of installing a dual radiator with two 120 mm fans in the lid. There are a total of three options for installing radiators (max. 240 mm) in the case. Speaking of water cooling: apertures are naturally provided on the back of the case for tubing (including fan cable).Even very long power supplies can be installed on the bottom – perfect for high-end PSUs. Large graphic cards are not a problem. The motherboard tray has a large recess at the height of the CPU which allows coolers with back plates to be installed later on.Amongst other things various quick release clips, the back plate recess, the cable management system and an additional PCI slot guarantee easy installation. The additional rear PCI slot is a great feature. For example, the slot could be used to install a CPU fan controller with a dial or additional motherboard ports for USB and so on without obstructing other installation options.
