It offers 24 10/100 MBit connections for the workstation or the computer. Hubs can also be connected to the switches. All connections automatically detect the transmission rate (10 MBit or 100 Mbit) of the connected computer. The connections also differentiate automatically between full and half duplex mode and support flow-control. The DES-1024D is easily extensible due to auto uplink, and thus it offers a quick and safe option for the enlargement of the network. Flow-control according to IEEE 802.3x enables a direct connection between server and switch for a fast and reliable data transmission. With 200Mbit in full duplex mode this switch makes available high-speed data channels with the lowest loss rate to your server. The DES-1024D is fanless and is therefore suitable for use directly in the workplace or best suited as a patch cable distribution. Through the included mounting material, it can be installed in a 48.3 cm (19 ") cabinet or rack.
