A POS system today must be able to easily withstand an entire day in operation, constantly changing users, time pressure, etc. and perform well. This high quality device from Glancetron comes with an integrated touch screen, yet at the same time it is highly robust. Its IP54 rating protects it against impacts, dust, spilled liquids and water. Therefore, challenging environments and all-day operation are not a threat for the housing or its contents, securing your investment within a short time after purchasing it. The user-friendly resistive LCD touch screen has a screen size of 38.1 cm (15''), like most modern systems, and offers an optimal control panel for numerous applications. At the same time, it requires little space at the checkout. Receive the display in two variants: either with or without a frame, completely bezel-free. This feature ensures for even more attractive optics, plus easy cleaning. With a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and a brightness of 250 nits, presentation is always sharp and precise, the readability crisp. The complete system is space-saving and well protected in its slim panel. Connect the panel to the compact base easily with only one milled screw. The system rests on it securely, and remains stable because the centre of gravity sits lower. Looking at it from the front, the base nearly disappears optically attractively behind the touch display. Alternately, choose the VESA mounting option for wall or countertop mounting. This ensures that users have the most ergonomics available to them, plus it adapts simply and variably to the application and working environment. So you are always covered, even if you change your POS requirements. Another highlight of the K600 POS system lies inside. The Intel Atom D525 Duo Core processor with 1.8 GHz delivers constantly reliable performance, without a fan. The biggest advantage here is nearly silent operation, as well as the improved reliability. Additionally, the vendor standardly equips his system with 2 GB DDR3 RAM, enough for current POS software. Optionally, you expand the capacity up to 4 GB, for more complex applications. The factory-fitted SATA hard drive comes with 320 GB, plenty of space for operating systems, programs and data. When it comes to operating systems, you have the freedom of choice, since the K600 is compatible with all current systems. For simple maintenance and quick access to memory media in urgent cases, simply remove one screw on the rear-side cover plate to access the hard drive. With four serial and USB 2.0 interfaces, a LAN port, plus a parallel and cash drawer connection, there is more than enough space for peripherals. Plus there is also an interface for an additional monitor facing the customer. Glancetron offers various hardware options specially for the K600 POS system. In addition to the second monitor in various sizes, designed to make customers better aware of special offers, you also have the choice of a magnetic card reader, as well as a rear-side two-line VFD customer display. The magnetic card reader is ergonomically angled to simplify its handling for the user.
