Our company strives to continue development of this traditional art form today through our efforts creating new lacquerware. Traditionally, the lacquerware creation process consisted of 50-70 different steps. Including the drying process, it took a total of about 3 months. The work is separated into specialized processes: the bare wood, groundwork, painting, and finishing stages. It usually takes about 10 years to master lacquerware techniques. By using materials such as resin, plastic, metal, glass, and leather, the production process is simplified and costs are brought down. This allows for the creation of new products that could not be made under traditional methods. At Hashimoto, we strive to continue the traditional art of lacquerware through the creation of new lacquerware products. Please give traditional Japanese lacquerware products a try.Introduction video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iWnP3GdU9A Delivery Time Products in stock ship within 1 week after payment confirmation.
