Description | Accessory TypeReplacement Actuator For Use WithMGL-1M Product Details IDEM Non Contact RFID Locking Switches The MGL series from IDEM are non-contact RFID coded switches that have been developed to provide and maintain a high level of functional safety whilst providing a reliable electromagnet door interlock. To cover various applications, the holding force ranges from 600N to 1500N. The coding is achieved using magnetic and RFID techniques, both principles need to be satisfied for the switch to operate safely. The RFID sensing provides a tamper resistant operation when the actuator is in the sensing range of the switch. These non-contact safety switches are available in stainless steel 316, high specification robust plastic or diecast metal housings and can be used in almost any environment including high pressure cleaning. The stainless steel 316 version has been designed with a stainless steel magnet and IP69K rating making it suitable for CIP and SIP processes. There are 2 LEDs that offer 5 diagnostic functions to the user. The MGL switches provide two safe switching outputs for use with the majority of popular safety relays as well as a semi-conductor auxiliary signal to indicate the door position, meaning it can achieve up to PLe/Category 4 to ISO13849-1.Master Code - by series (any actuator will operate any switch) this is used when unique door activation is not required, but the benefit of RFID makes it virtually impossible to be overridden or by-passed by simple means.RFID coded actuation to provide high tamper proof interlock security on guard doorsSeries Coded RFID availableConnects to most popular safety relays to achieve up to PLe and Cat.4 for ISO3849-1Connect up to 20 switches in seriesAbility to connect other switches and E-Stops in seriesUnique triggering of solenoid latching mechanism to maintain close control of actuator positionQuick connect (QC-M12) and cable versions availableRemanent magnetization holding technique acts as a light magnetic latch after unlocking2NC safety outputs short circuit protected1NO auxiliary output for indication of door openNo moving parts - high switch life, resistance to shock and vibrationQuick connect (QC-M12) and cable versions availableSpare master coded actuators available: 826-4375 for MGL-1SS, 826-4378 for MGL-2SS, 826-4372 for MGL-1M, 826-4381 for MGL-1P Stainless Steel Safety SwitchMGL-SS holding force: 1200N 826-435352mm fixing centresSwitch: 80 x 115 x 43mm, Actuator: 76 x 105 x 32mmMGL-2SS holding force: 1200N 826-435652mm fixing centresSwitch: 64 x 96 x 37mm, Actuator: 64 x 88 x 30mm Diecast Metal Safety SwitchHolding force: 1500N 826-435052mm fixing centresSwitch: 80 x 115 x 43mm, Actuator: 76 x 105 x 32mm Plastic Safety SwitchHolding force: 1000N 826-436952mm fixing centresSwitch: 64 x 96 x 37mm, Actuator: 64 x 88 x 30mm Note The switch is Power to Lock and therefore consideration must be given in the event of a power failure to machines where a run down time is present before the hazard is removed. Approvals CE, cULus, TUV. Standards EN 1088, EN 60947-5-3, EN 60204-1, ISO 13849-1, EN 62061, EN 954-1, UL 508. Supplied with Actuator. Non-Contact Switch |
