| Description | Cable Transit Part TypeRound Transit Plug Compatible withFlexible Blocks, Solid Blocks, U Blocks Maximum Cable Diameter150mm Product Details Round Lycron Polymer Plugs Designed to be an interference fit in existing circular holes (cast or core drilled), pipes or ducts. The inner portion of the plug is square, and will accommodate a number of insert blocks.,The "flexible" insert blocks are available in seven specific sizes, each of which will accommodate five progressive sizes of cable (or pipes). Between them, these "flexible" blocks will cover the cable diameter range of 3·5mm to 38·5mm. The "U" section and solid blocks are designed to take up any gaps within the plug. The "U" section blocks are designed to "slot" into each other (into the next size up), and the "flexible" blocks will fit an appropriate "U" block. Where there is a demand for enhanced safety within an installation application, the plugs may be inserted back to back, providing an "external" and "internal" seal. Round Sealing System The basic principle of the sealing system relies on the compression of polymer "blocks" held within the round plugThe "round" system requires the selection of a plug from a range of three specific sizes, and the selection of filler "blocks" of either "U" profile, or the "flexible" profile, together with any solid filler blocks to take up gaps within the round plugOnce the round plug has been completely filled with insert blocks, the external galvanised sealing plates are tightened to ensure a totally effective seal. (See "technical specifications" table for details of of sealing characteristics)A tube of lubricant is also available - this should only be used to lubricate the filler blocks as required. On no account should the round "plug" seal be lubricated on its external surfaces, or the hole, pipe, or duct in which it is to be fitted.
