DescriptionInterfaces 1x RS232 Serial connections DB9 male LAN ports 1x 10/100 WLAN - Power supply AC adapter Family Information Serial device servers for Ethernet NPort servers from Moxa allow connection of devices with a serial interface (RS232/422/485) in TCP/IP networks, for transmission of serial data over a local network or via the Internet with no restriction on the distance. Serial devices such as measuring instruments, barcode readers, label printers, and so on, can thus be centrally controlled and evaluated from any location. Thanks to the various operating modes, NPort servers can be used for virtually all serial applications: Real COM Mode: In order to enable a computer to access the interfaces of the NPort server, virtual COM/TTY ports are created with the aid of driver software under Windows/Linux. In this way the existing applications can be used for serial communications. Pair Connection Mode: With the aid of two Nport servers (5110/DE-211/DE-311), two serial devices can be connected directly to each other via a local Ethernet or via the Internet. Ethernet Modem Mode: With this operating mode, computers with non TCP/IP-capable operating systems (e.g. MS-DOS) are also able to access Nport servers via networks/Internet. To do this, an additional Nport server is connected to the serial interface of the computer, and this is then integrated in the network at the Ethernet port. The serial connection is set up via a modem.Socket Modes: TCP Server/Client, UDP Server/Client Series Description Power supplied by external PSU (supplied) DE-211: Power supply also possible via the serial interface Modes: Real COM, Pair Connection, Ethernet Modem, Socket Article Information Article Description Connects devices with serial interface (RS232) in TCP/IP networks Transmits serial data via the local network or via the Internet Driver on PC creates virtual COM ports for access to remote interfaces Power supplied by external PSU (supplied) Paper catalogues Page 2383 Environmental information RoHS Conform SVHC Unknown SVHC Review Date 06/18/2012
