Expanded auto sensing algorithms gives you security that is provided with power only with 802.3af terminalsWhich prevents damages at devices without PoE support. PoE simplifies and optimizes the network installation, since the attached terminals are no more dependent on a plug socket nearby for current. That is particularly favourable for Access points, monitoring cameras and similar equipment, since these can to be now always placed at the optimal location.
