The GEO kits can be installed by anyone with basic DIY skills. The Geo 1 will light an area of 16 square metres, making it ideal for medium sized rooms, sheds, garages, garden houses. As well as providing lighting the GEO kit can also use the charge stored in the battery for powering small electronic devices, simply by adding an inverter. The solar panel in this kit will generate electricity from the sun into a battery, ready for use when required. A single 12V LED light bulb is connected to the battery via a simple circuit, with a light switch in between. Conversion Kits Charger/inverter modules for converting fluorescent luminaires into emergency lighting units.,The module and battery packs fit inside most modern fluorescent batten fittings. For luminaires that have limited internal dimensions or that have internal temperatures above 50°C, remote mounting boxes are also available. The remote box is also suitable for converting double luminaires into emergency units, however only 1 tube will operate under emergency conditions. Two live supplies are required for standard operation, one switched, one unswitched. Failure of the unswitched supply operates the changeover circuit bringing on the battery supply. A red LED is supplied with the module for fitting into either the luminaire or remote box, to indicate a healthy battery charging state. The nickel-cadmium battery packs are protected against deep discharge. |
